Class 11        Mare & Foal Progeny Class .Qualifier.  Confined to paid up Members of West                         Cork Horse Breeders Co-Operative Society. Each Member may qualify two                                 Mares & Foals Final to be held On Sunday 12^th September at Cannamore                                         Equestrian Centre, Kilgarriffe, Clonalkilty.

Ridden  Pony  Section

Class  42  1^st year first ridden mares or geldings 4years and over not exceeding            123cms to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 9^{th   birthday                        before 1st January 2010 and must be in their first year in this class & May not compete in any other class                            at the same show except lead rein class.}

Class 44   Open Lead rein class for pony mares or geldings 4 years and over, not exceeding                 123cms suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 7th birthday               on the 1st of January of the current year. Children will not be required to canter.              Snaffle Bridle must be worn. 

Class 45  Novice lead rein class for children 10 years and under.  This class is confined to                                      ponies and riders who have never won first prize at any show.                  

Class 46     Local ridden class for mares or geldings 4 years old and over not exceeding 148 cms             suitable for riding school ponies only to be ridden by a child under 15 years.

Class 47    Hunter lead rein class for ponies, mares or geldings 4 years old and over not                    exceeding 123cms suitable for and ridden by riders who have not attained their 8^th              birthday on  the 1^st of January of the current year.                                             Class 48    128cms Riding class for ponies mares or geldings 4   years and over, not                           exceeding 128cms  suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained                    their 13th birthday on the 1st of January of the current year.                  

Class 49   138cms Riding class for ponies mares or geldings 4 years and over, not   exceeding               138cms suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 15th                  birthday on the 1st of January of the current year.

Class 50   148cms Riding class for ponies mares or geldings 4 years and over, not exceeding                     148cms suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 17th                     birthday on the 1st of January of the current year.

aNIMALS

the irish shows association would advise all animal owners who have their  animals insured to have the insurance cover extended to cover them while showing animals at shows, we understand that it costs very little or nothing at all depending on who you have insurance cover with.

If you are one of the few who don't have cover we would advise that you think about putting it in place for this purpose it may well be worthwhile.

The reason for us giving you this advise is to protect yourself in the event of your animal LASHING OUT, AND INJURING SOMEONE OR DAMAGING SOMEONE'S PROPERTY, IF THAT WERE TO HAPPEN, AND IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT YOUR ANIMAL Was out of your control you may be held responsible. Or partly responsible for ANY INJURY OR DAMage CAUSED & MAY END UP Paying all, or part of ANY SETTLEMENT REACHED.

Important Notice

T.B. Status: All animals must come from herds which are not restricted and have had a clear herd test within the last 12 months. Calves aged 6 weeks and under must bear an approved ear tag and an identity card

Brucellosis Status: The Dept of Agriculture & Food requirments, (a) All animals must come from herds which are not restricted, (b) Certain animals (i.e. females aged 18 months& over & bulls aged 24 months & over) must have passed a test for Brucellosis within the previous 60 days.  However, these animals may move to any number of Shows within the validity period of the same 60 day pre-movement test.

All first prize winners debarred in subsequent classes with the exception of Pairs Championship or Special Prizes.

*Unless three or more entries are received in any one class it will be amalgamated with another.

 No third prize unless there are four entries. No fourth prize unless there are five entries.

If eight or more entries an additional prize will be paid.
